== Finnish == === Etymology === Originally from the name of the first Finnish primer ever written, Abckiria (circa 1543, literally “ABC book”). Using ABC to represent the whole alphabet, such as in the titles of primer books, is a common European convention (also seen in English ABC). Now analyzable as aapis- +‎ kirja (“book”).
