== Portuguese == === Alternative forms === urubu do Pix === Etymology === Literally, “Pix Vulture”, from the image of a vulture that is commonly used alongside the Pix-powered scams and the memes based thereupon. === Proper noun === Urubu do Pix m (Brazil, crime, originally) A scam in which a supposed broker asks for a Pix transfer, presented as an investment, and promises to transfer back a sum (usually tenfold) higher than the one sent. (by extension, humorous) A Brazilian meme that parodies the scam, using images similar to the original ones, but often with the presence of other, jocular elements, such as seals of approval or satisfaction, or an image-resolution indicator.
