التعريفات والمعاني

== German == === Etymology === From Middle High German Sephteme, probably from Latin septima (“seventh”) in a supposed ad septimam leugam (“at the seventh league”), the place being roughly seven Roman leagues (a bit over 15 km) away from Bonn. The sound shift pt → ft through Primärberührung, the further shift ft → cht through the northwestern, especially Dutch, development, which is amply attested in the Rhineland (cf. Luxembourgish Griecht, Luucht, uechter). === Pronunciation === IPA(key): /ˈzɛçtəm/ === Proper noun === Sechtem n (proper noun, genitive Sechtems or (optionally with an article) Sechtem) A village, officially a quarter of Bornheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
