A primordial imọlẹ̀ of the Yoruba religion, they are an androgynous divinity of the ocean and the seas, and said to embody the Atlantic Ocean. They are the parent of the deities, Ọlọ́sà and Ajé, and is also a deified orisha of the same name, as a human, she said to be the wife of Odùduwà
