== Romanian == === Etymology === Borrowed from German Heidendorf, from Heiden (“heathen”) +‎ Dorf (“village”). It was originally referring to the Pecheneg heathens who settled in the village. The previous name in Romanian, Beșineu, also refers to their ethnicity in Hungarian. === Proper noun === Heidendorf m a village in Bistrița-Năsăud County, Romania. Renamed to Viișoara in 1950.
