== English == === Etymology === Learned borrowing from Late Latin hebraica, neuter plural of hebraicus (“Hebrew”), from Ancient Greek Ἑβραῖος (Hebraîos), from Hebrew עִבְרִי (ʿiḇrī, “Hebrew”) (likely through Aramaic עִבְרַי (ʿiḇray, “Hebrew”)), traditionally from עֵבֶר ('éver, “Eber”), the ancestor of the Israelites.
