== English == === Etymology === Borrowed from Hebrew חַמַאסְטָן (khamástan). By surface analysis, Hamas +‎ -stan. The original Hebrew term was coined by opponents of the 2004 disengagement plan, due to Hamas' rise in the politics of the Palestinian Authority.
