Borrowed from Daur daur and Russian дау́ръ m anim sg (daúr, noun), alternative forms reflect Manchu ᡩᠠᡤᡡᡵ (dagūr), ᡩᠠᡥᡡᡵ (dahūr), and Classical Mongolian ᠳᠠᠭᠤᠷ (daɣur).
