==== Usage notes ====
Cherronēsus or Chersonēsus, by itself, just like Ancient Greek Χερσόνησος (Khersónēsos), simply means a paeninsula, meaning that, unless the context is clear, one should add an adjective to specify which paeninsula:
Chersonēsus Aurea (“Malay Paeninsula (dubious)”)
Chersonēsus Cimbrica (“Jutland”)
Chersonēsus Cnidia (“Datça Paeninsula”)
Chersonēsus Rhodia (“Bozburun Paeninsula”)
Chersonēsus Sarda (“Capo Teulada”)
Chersonēsus Taurica (“Crimea”)
Chersonēsus Thracica (“Gallipoli Paeninsula”)
==== Declension ====
Second-declension noun, with locative, singular only.
