== English == === Etymology === From Brent Tor, a prominent hill. === Proper noun === Brentor A civil parish in West Devon district, Devon, England. ==== Usage notes ==== There is no village actually named Brentor, there is one named North Brentor, with a hamlet known as South Brentor near Brent Tor, the hill. Brentor did appear as a location in the South Brentor area on an Ordnance Survey map published in 1946, but not on later maps.
