According to urban legend he later claimed true, in circa early 1960s, he ordered a mix of half iced tea and lemonade from a waitress, which there became popular at the Cherry Hills Country Club, and Mr. Palmer later endorsed. === Noun === Arnold Palmer (plural Arnold Palmers) (chiefly US) A beverage made with iced tea and lemonade in more or less equal parts. ==== Usage notes ==== Called a John Daly when alcohol, specifically vodka is added.
