== Translingual == === Etymology === From apo- (“lacking, without; away, apart”, from Ancient Greek ἀπο- (apo-) or ἀπό (apó)) +‎ Ancient Greek καυλός (kaulós, “stem, stalk; shaft”). A deliberate metathesis of the earlier Aulacopus, another genus of longhorn beetles, from which this genus was separated.
