Alsace-Lorraine
التعريفات والمعاني
== English ==
=== Proper noun ===
Alsace-Lorraine
A historical state in Germany (1871-1918); now a geographic region, part of the administrative region of Grand Est, France.
Note: This territory corresponds to today's Alsace and Moselle. The inhabitants from Lorraine outside of Moselle (namely Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Vosges) usually prefer to use the term Alsace-Moselle (fr) instead. This is also the legal term used to describe the territories which are under a different law regime from the rest of France (see Concordat in Alsace-Moselle).
