-ogat
(frequentative suffix) Mostly added to transitive verbs (less frequently to other types of words) to form new verbs denoting repetitive action. It may also change the meaning.
mos (“to wash”) + -ogat → mosogat (“to do the dishes”)

-gat is added to back-vowel words
hall (“to hear”) + -gat → hallgat (“to listen, to be quiet”)
-get is added to front-vowel words
beszél (“to talk”) + -get → beszélget (“to chit-chat”)
-ogat is added to back-vowel monosyllabic words
mos (“to wash”) + -ogat → mosogat (“to do the dishes”)
-eget is added to unrounded front-vowel monosyllabic words
kér (“to ask, request”) + -eget → kéreget (“to beg (alms)”)
-öget is added to rounded front-vowel monosyllabic words
