-evole
التعريفات والمعاني
== Italian ==
=== Etymology ===
Inherited from Latin -ibilis, -ēbilis, which displaced -ābilis. The sound change from Latin [ɪ, eː] to [o] appears to have been due to the velarizing influence of the following [ɫ] in early Tuscan. Compare Montauto (from montem altum “tall mountain”) or topo (from talpa “mole”). Doublet of -ibile, which is found in Latin borrowings. Compare Sicilian -ìvili.
