== Navajo == === Etymology === From Proto-Athabaskan *da̓z (“to be heavy”). Compare Chipewyan yekʼéghíłdath (“it is coming down heavy on him”), Lower Tanana doth (“to be heavy”), and Navajo das (“weight”). In active intransitive bases this root describes the movement of a mass of plural objects.
