Ẹ̀ṣọ́ùsì
=== Etymology ===
Possibly from a contraction of Ọ̀ṣọ́wùsì, ultimately from ọ̀- (nominalizing prefix) + ṣọ́ (“to guard, to watch”) + wùsì (“to grow in prominence or influence”), literally “the warrior that grows in prominence”. This etymology seems likely given the Ekiti form Ẹ̀ṣọ́ùsì.
