== Khiamniungan Naga == === Etymology === The toponym īekhāuh, signifying 'smoke' and synthesizing the elements rooted in the word īekhāuh, itself a synthesis of ie [fire] and khauh [to smoke], the village's name commemorates its discovery. Oral tradition recounts that settlers from Lümuoking—the primary settlement established after the descent from Khiamnyunga—discerned a telltale plume emanating from a distant elevation, thereby locating this new habitation. While originally encompassed within Patsho village's jurisdiction, this settlement—whose discovery was heralded by smoke (īekhāuh)—was formally constituted as a separate administrative entity in 2004. === Pronunciation === IPA(key): /iɛ̯³³kʰaʊ⁵⁵/ === Noun === Īekháu (Patsho) a village in Noklak district, Nagaland, India(also spells Ekhao)
