Đại Cồ Việt

=== Etymology ===
First attested in 1479 in Đại Việt sử ký toàn thư, in chữ Hán form 大瞿越.
Momoki (2014) proposes that 大瞿越 (Đại Cồ Việt) & 瞿越 (Cồ Việt) are likely based on 鉅越 & 巨越 (Cự Việt) in 12th-century Lý dynasty's inscriptions instead of the nation's 10th-century name, as the form 大越 (Đại Việt) had been attested earlier in 10th-century brick inscriptions.

(Huế) IPA(key): [ʔɗaːj˨˩ʔ kow˦˩ viək̚˨˩ʔ]
(Saigon) IPA(key): [ʔɗaːj˨˩˨ kow˨˩ viək̚˨˩˨] ~ [ʔɗaːj˨˩˨ kow˨˩ jiək̚˨˩˨]
