ürümek
التعريفات والمعاني
== Turkish ==
=== Etymology ===
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish اورومك (ürümek), from Old Anatolian Turkish اورمك (ürmek, üremek), from Proto-Turkic *ür- (“to blow”). According to Nişanyan, final "ü" in ürü- in Turkish is a later development and not well understood. The original ür- and the earlier variant üre- can still be found in various dialects.
Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (ǖr-, “to blow, bark”), Kyrgyz үрүү (ürüü, “to blow, bark”), Uzbek hurmoq (“to bark”), Khakas ӱрерғе (ürerğe, “to blow”), Kazakh үру (üru, “to blow, bark”), Gagauz üürümää, Azerbaijani hürmək
