== Swedish == === Etymology === Calque of German Bierwurst. Compound of öl (“beer”) +‎ korv (“sausage”), as it traditionally is intended to be served with beer. First attested in 1932. === Noun === ölkorv c Bierwurst; a thin smoked and heavily flavoured sausage (often) eaten as a snack ==== Usage notes ==== Despite the name, it does not contain any beer or other alcoholic beverages (unless such flavour is made specifically).
