== Hungarian == === Etymology === From át (“across”, adverb) +‎ -lag (an adverb-forming suffix thought to be noun-forming, also used in pamlag (“couch”)). Originally used as a technical term in geometry. The sense average is probably a calque of German Durchschnitt. First attested in 1839.
